Consumer, Walgreens Agree to Drop Cough Syrup False-Ad Suit

Walgreen Co. and a consumer of its Cough DM medication have jointly stipulated that her claims alleging false advertising and unfair competition should be dismissed.

Joycette Goodwin alleged that the retail chain sold its Cough DM medication as children’s and adults’ products, and charged more for the children’s product even though both have the same amount of active and inactive ingredients.
