Consumer Drops Data Breach Suit Against Citrix Systems, LoanCare

A consumer voluntarily dismissed her proposed class action alleging Citrix Systems Inc. and mortgage-loan services provider LoanCare LLC failed to protect the personal information of more than 1 million people that was exposed in a November data breach.

Shirley Dailey alleged that Citrix, a provider of cloud computing services, and LoanCare failed to encrypt or redact sensitive information and failed to implement adequate data-security measures.

  • Dailey filed a notice of voluntary dismissal Tuesday
  • Information exposed in the breach included names, addresses, Social Security numbers, and loan numbers, the complaint said
