A group of natural gas facility construction workers in Louisiana has agreed in principle to settle a wage and hour lawsuit alleging that the workers weren’t paid for attending mandatory daily pre-shift safety meetings.
At the parties’ behest, the US District Court for the Western District of Louisiana dismissed the case for 60 days, but allowed it to be reopened if the settlement isn’t brought to completion within that time frame.
