A second grade teacher’s claims that a local school board failed to accommodate her religious objection to Connecticut’s Covid vaccine mandate for educators can proceed, a federal judge said.
Catherine Langer taught in the Hartland public school system for 13 years before she was put on unpaid leave in the fall of 2021 for not taking the vaccine and refusing a weekly testing alternative. After the order expired in February 2022, the school asked Langer to return to the classroom but she asked to take personal leave for the rest of the school year to not disrupt the kids’ routines. ...
