A former job benefits lawyer with Consolidated Edison Co. of New York Inc. didn’t show that alleged age and gender-related discrimination were the cause of her firing, a federal judge said.
Sharon Goldzweig asserted she was “singled out” for mistreatment, but that doesn’t alone give rise to actionable claims under federal or New York state employment bias laws, said Judge George B. Daniels of the US District Court for the Southern District of New York, granting the company summary judgment and ordering that the case be closed.
