Companies to Pay US $4 Million Over Deadly California Wildfire

Three companies agreed to to pay more than $4 million for costs and damages associated with a deadly wildfire that was caused by a gender reveal smoke bomb, the US Attorney’s Office in Los Angeles said Tuesday.

Wholesale Fireworks Corp., American Fireworks Wholesale LLC, and Pink or Blue Gender Team Inc. will pay to settle claims stemming from the 2020 El Dorado Fire, which resulted in the death of a federal firefighter and burned almost 23,000 acres, US Attorney’s Office said in a news release.
