Comedians Request Ruling That Pandora Infringed Their Copyrights

A group of well known comedians asked a federal court to rule that Pandora Media LLC willfully infringed their copyrights in their acts by streaming them without a license.

Yellow Rose Productions Inc., on behalf of comedians including Bill Engvall, Ron White, Andrew Dice Clay, Nick Di Paolo, Lewis Black, George Lopez, the Robin Williams Trust, and their companies, asked the US District Court for the Central District of California to grant them partial summary judgment on liability, willfulness, and statutory damages. The sole issue for trial should be the amount of damages, the motion said.
