ComEd Evades Human Resources Employee’s Promotion Bias Lawsuit

Illinois utility provider Commonwealth Edison Co. defeated an age-protected Black human resources business partner’s bid for a trial on her discriminatory promotion and retaliation claims, a federal judge ruled.

The plaintiff provided insufficient evidence to convince a reasonable jury of her claims against ComEd, according to the opinion granting the Exelon Corp. unit’s summary judgment motion filed Monday in the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
