Columbia Tentatively Agrees to Settle Campus Antisemitism Suit

Columbia University reached a preliminary settlement with a student who alleged the school failed to keep students safe from antisemitic harassment, according to a court filing.

The proposed class action complaint—seeking campus safety measures and damages from the school—was filed last month amid a wave of pro-Palestine protests on college campuses. More than 100 demonstrators were arrested on Columbia’s campus as the New York Police Department broke up the protests.
