A faith-based Colorado medical clinic won an order temporarily halting the state’s enforcement of a law that prevents it from treating patients who’ve changed their minds after taking mifepristone to end their pregnancies.
Bella Health and Wellness and its doctors adequately alleged that they’ll suffer irreparable harm to their First Amendment free speech and religious exercise rights if Colorado is allowed to enforce a new law that threatens its doctors with sanctions if they prescribe progesterone or any other drug in an attempt to reverse a pill-induced abortion, the US District Court for the District of Colorado said.
