Colorado-based Conceptions Reproductive Associates Inc. must face several claims of a proposed class action alleging it negligently failed to protect the personal information of around 80,000 patients that was exposed in a 2024 data breach, a federal court ruled.
The four lead plaintiffs adequately pleaded claims of negligence, public disclosure of private facts, breach of implied contract, breach of fiduciary duty, declaratory judgment, and violations of the Colorado Consumer Protection Act, Judge Nina Y. Wang of the US District Court for the District of Colorado said Tuesday.
