Collision Center Chain, Workers Secure Final Wage Deal Approval

A Maine-based collision center chain and workers who say it owes them unpaid wages won a federal judge’s final approval for a settlement worth more than $2.2 million.

Workers accuse Moody’s Co-Worker Owned Inc. of stiffing them on pay for certain breaks and an annual weekend “clean up” day. The class, which consists of more than 270 workers, will get more than $1.4 million after accounting for attorneys’ fees and court costs, or approximately 69% of the wages allegedly owed, the US District Court for the District of Maine said.
