A real estate investment firm’s explanation that an executive in his mid-50s who has Parkinson’s disease was fired because he didn’t fit the firm’s needs could be a cover for bias, a federal judge ruled.

Colliers International arm Harrison Street Real Estate Capital LLC must therefore face trial on claims under the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, and the Americans with Disabilities Act, the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois said.
