A former Anheuser-Busch LLC employee filed a proposed collective action complaint against the company in the US District Court for the District of Delaware, for allegedly failing to pay overtime and misclassifying employees.
Gary Nelson claims the company violated the Fair Labor Standards Act by misclassifying employees as managers to avoid paying overtime premiums, despite them doing the same job functions as other workers without manager titles.
The company also implemented an overtime suspension policy in October 2022, saying it couldn’t afford to pay overtime due to millions in losses, the suit alleges.
