Attorneys for the popular animated kids YouTube show CoComelon won $6.6 million in fees and costs after convincing a federal jury that competitor BabyBus infringed CoComelon’s copyrights.
Judge Edward M. Chen’s Tuesday order granting CoComelon owner Moonbug Entertainment Ltd.'s fee award was less than its original request of about $7.5 million.
The award includes $5,972,559.85 in attorney fees, $510,008.72 in costs, and $174,922 in additional fees for work done after the trial.
