Coca-Cola Honest Tea ‘Tad Sweet’ Deception Suit Dropped (1)

A suit alleging Coca-Cola Co. tricks consumers into thinking its Honest Tea beverages are low in sugar has been voluntarily dismissed, according to a filing in a New York federal court.

William Batchelor alleged the front label of Peach Tea includes the statement “JUST A TAD SWEET,” the brand name “Honest,” and a vignette of a peach.

Consumers understand the “just a tad sweet” statement to indicate the products are low in sugar, he alleged in a suit in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.
