Coach Sues Importers Over Fake Handbags, Trademark Infringement

Luxury brand Coach Inc. filed a federal lawsuit against three Colorado-based corporations for allegedly infringed Coach’s trademarked designs by importing imitations handbags and wallets.

According to the complaint, filed Tuesday in the US District Court for the District of Colorado, US Customs and Border Patrol notified Coach in 2022 that it had seized products bearing the Coach logo imported by Din Metel, Leslie Trading, and HannStar Trading.

Coach said the logos and designs on the products are “substantially indistinguishable” from its own trademarked logos and designs, including the signature ‘C’ mark.
