Associated Materials LLC defeated a proposed class action alleging it failed to protect the personal information of thousands of people that was exposed in a May 2023 ransomware attack and data breach.

Plaintiffs James Marlin, Jaclyn Marlin, and Clarence W. Oliver Jr. didn’t plead a concrete injury from the data breach as required to establish standing to sue in federal court, Judge Benita Y. Pearson of the US District Court for the Northern District of Ohio said Wednesday.
