Ohio’s plan to use the state’s unclaimed property fund to help pay for a new Cleveland Browns football stadium in the suburbs was met Monday with a proposed class action.
The new law says that starting on Jan. 1, 2026, unclaimed property and money that’s more than 10 years old reverts to the state’s possession for use in the newly-created Ohio Cultural and Sports Facility Performance Grant Fund.
