Cleveland Beats Lawsuit Over Browns’ Planned Stadium Move

Former congressman and Cleveland Mayor Dennis Kucinich’s lawsuit aimed at keeping the Cleveland Browns in city limits was tossed by a judge who said the move to the suburbs is all but a done deal.

Kucinich tried to pursue a lawsuit on Cleveland’s behalf, arguing that city lawyers didn’t do enough to prevent the Browns from moving to a new, $2.4 billion stadium in neighboring Brook Park. But they took all the actions Kucinich requested, Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Judge Hollie L. Gallagher wrote Monday in dismissing the case.
