Clearview AI, Litigants Finalize Deal in Illinois Privacy Case

Litigants in a federal multidistrict class action alleging Clearview AI Inc. violated an Illinois privacy statute by using artificial intelligence have reached a settlement agreement, a lawyer for the plaintiffs said Wednesday.

“We have a settlement,” Jon Loevy, a partner at Loevy & Loevy, told US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois Judge Sharon Johnson Coleman. Clearview AI’s lawyer, Lynch Thompson LLP partner James Thompson, said the push toward resolving the matter is proceeding at “full speed.”
