A proposed class of employees at Spirit Pharmaceuticals LLC asked a district court to sign off on their tendered settlement to resolve allegations the company failed to pay overtime or provide timely wages.
The proposed accord would provide eligible non-managerial employees at Spirit’s Ronkonkoma, NY, facility with $1.5 million in exchange for dropping their claims under the Fair Labor Standards Act and the New York Labor Law, according to their motion on Wednesday. The proposed class asked the US District Court for the Eastern District of New York to preliminarily approve the agreement and grant them class status.
