Class Certified in Former Ardent Health Workers’ 401(k) Lawsuit

A 17,000-person class in an ERISA suit brought by former employees of Nashville-based hospital system Ardent Health Services regarding the company’s retirement plan was approved by the US District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee.

Judge William Campbell Jr. certified the class Thursday of all participants in or beneficiaries of the plan—except defendants and their immediate family members —at any time between Dec. 24, 2013, through the date of any judgment in the case.
