Insurance Agency Marketing Services, Inc. won’t have to face a class action alleging the company failed to take adequate steps to protect its customers’ sensitive personal information from a cyberattack.
Robert Lovell filed the proposed class action in the US District Court for the District of Nebraska against IAMS earlier this month, alleging a data breach earlier this year was a “direct result” of the company’s failure to take “adequate and reasonable” steps to secure its customers’ data.
