City of Hope National Medical Center is facing at least seven proposed class actions alleging it failed to protect the personal information of nearly 830,000 people that was exposed in a data breach that took place over a three-month period in 2023.
Plaintiffs in the separate lawsuits alleged that City of Hope, a cancer treatment and research center, failed to implement adequate data-security measures, comply with industry data-security standards, properly train its employees, or provide timely and adequate notice of the incident.
