Cisco Hit With Patent Suit Over Network Processing Technology

Lionra Technologies Ltd. has accused Cisco Systems Inc. of infringing its patent protecting technology for wireless processing.

Cisco allegedly infringed a patent called “High speed packet processing in a wireless network,” according to Lionra’s complaint filed in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Texas.

The patent is for a method that processes information in a communications network and uses a decoding step and concurrent writing step. The technology helps reduce processing time as information gets relayed through the network.

Lionra seeks damages, attorneys’ fees, and an order requiring Cisco to pay licensing fees for the technology.
