A Christian man twice confronted by police over spreading his gospel at a music festival in Miami had his free speech claims against the city tossed out, but with the opportunity to assert those claims again.
A federal judge dismissed Adam LaCroix’s lawsuit over his rights to share his “religious, political and social speech message” without a city permit during the Ultra Music Festival, because he didn’t sufficiently allege that Miami was “deliberately indifferent” to his constitutional rights by failing to train its employees. The judge allowed LaCroix to file an amended complaint.
