Christian College Sues Chicago Schools Over Religious Hiring Bar

A Christian bible college in Chicago sued the city’s school board Tuesday saying it’s students can’t access a city teaching program due to the college’s faith-based hiring practices.

Moody Bible Institute is being required to sign a pair of employment nondiscrimination agreements so that prospective teachers studying at the college can join the city’s teaching program, said the complaint filed in the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
