Chris Cuomo Fails to Halt CNN Arbitration Proceedings

A Manhattan court rejected former CNN host Chris Cuomo’s bid to halt arbitration proceedings between him and the news outlet over allegations that the arbitrator was biased toward CNN.

The Supreme Court First Appellate Department said Cuomo “failed to raise a triable issue of fact” and was unable to show Stephen Sonnenberg of JAMS was biased during arbitration proceedings. Cuomo had initiated the proceedings three months after the network ousted the former anchor for allegedly violating the network’s standards and practices by helping his brother, then-New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D), when he was accused of sexual harassment.
