Child Pornography Case Against Twitter Meets Skeptical Judges

A lawsuit by victims of child pornography who alleged Twitter Inc. knew sexual abuse content was on its platform but failed to take it down met a three-judge panel at oral arguments Monday who appeared skeptical that it should be revived.

Case law in the US Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit suggests that Twitter, now X Corp., can’t be held legally liable for simply “turning a blind eye” to child sexual abuse material on the platform, Judge Gabriel P. Sanchez said.
