Chicago Man Accused of Forging Judge’s Signature on Filing

A Chicago man is being charged with forging the signature of an Illinois chief judge in an attempt to vacate monetary penalties and filing restrictions against him.

Walter Brzowski in 2023 allegedly filed a fraudulent order from the executive committee of the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois relieving him of sanctions, which then-Chief Judge Rebecca R. Pallmeyer didn’t sign but contained her signature, according to a criminal complaint docketed Sept. 19.

Brzowski filed nine lawsuits in federal district court between 2003 and 2007 over his state court divorce proceedings, most of which were dismissed for failure ...
