Chicago Federal Prosecutors Seek Tom Girardi Case Dismissal

Federal prosecutors in Chicago have moved to drop charges against disbarred plaintiff’s lawyer Tom Girardi.

The motion to dismiss, filed Wednesday in the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, says the government is seeking to abandon the case against the now-infamous lawyer, given that he was convicted of stealing from his clients in Los Angeles trial last year.

Prosecutors also cited the almost 86-year-old’s advanced age.
