Chicago Cubs, DOJ Reach Settlement on Wrigley Field ADA Lawsuit

Chicago Cubs fans with physical disabilities will have more seating options on Opening Day under a settlement filed in federal court.

The National League baseball club agreed to add at least 37 spaces and make other alterations to Wrigley Field, the Cubs’ home stadium and a National Historic Landmark, as part of a consent decree reached with the Justice Department.

The settlement would resolve a 2022 case alleging the Cubs violated Title III of the Americans with Disability Act. The Justice Department claimed a multi-year renovation of Wrigley Field commencing in 2014 removed wheelchair-accessible seating and made other alterations that ...
