Online learning platform Chegg Inc. may seize the internet domain of Homeworkify, a competitor that allegedly provided free homework answers to students after stealing them from Chegg, a federal court ruled.
Chegg provided sufficient evidence to show a likelihood of success on all of its claims against the defendants and that it suffered irreparable harm due to the defendants’ continued unauthorized access to Chegg’s content, Judge Charles R. Breyer of the US District Court for the Northern District of California said Tuesday.
