Charles River Labs Investor Failed to Depict Fraud, Company Says

A lower court properly threw out a securities suit alleging Charles River Laboratories International Inc. misrepresented its sourcing of non-human primates for pharmaceutical research, the company told the First Circuit.

“Far from alleging fraud, the Complaint shows that Charles River fully met its disclosure obligations under the federal securities laws,” the drugmaker said Tuesday in a brief to the US Court of Appeals for the First Circuit.
