Char-Broil Fails to Shed ‘Set and Forget’ False-Ad Class Action

Char-Broil LLC consumers alleging the digital smoker grill developer deceptively advertised the appliance as easy to use with a hands-off user experience can proceed with their proposed class action, a federal judge said.

The consumers adequately alleged that Char-Broil advertised the smokers as “set and forget” and “error free” but that users experienced safety defects, the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois said Thursday.
