Centene to Pay $10 Million to Settle Suit Over Accellion Breach

Centene Corp. and its Health Net subsidiaries will pay $10 million to settle allegations they failed to protect the personal and health information of more than 1.5 million people that was exposed in a data breach involving Accellion Inc.'s file-transfer software.

Judge Edward J. Davila of the US District Court for the Northern District of California gave final approval to the settlement Tuesday.
