Cedar Fair Should’ve Known of Problematic Online Ads, Judge Says

A key claim survived in a proposed class action against Cedar Fair LP seeking refunds for Covid-19-related closures, as a federal judge ruled Thursday that the amusement park giant should’ve known that its season pass advertisements were deceptive.

The company, which required customers seeking season passes to click on a website link to view the offer’s terms and conditions, was sufficiently on notice of an Ohio attorney general rule that says websites should instruct users on how to find the information, Senior Judge James G.
