CBS, Palestinian-American Reporter Agree to Dismiss Bias Suit

A Muslim, Palestinian-American reporter and CBS Broadcasting Inc. were granted a joint request to have the reporter’s discrimination suit dismissed.

Judge Robert J. White signed the dismissal with prejudice Monday in an order for the US. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. Both sides are responsible for paying their own expenses, the order said. The agreement came after the parties participated in mediation, according to the docket. A Muslim, Palestinian-American journalist alleged that a local CBS station in Detroit discriminated against his race and faith since the onset of the Israel-Hamas conflict and ultimately terminated him.
