Casper Sleep Settles Shareholder Lawsuit Over IPO for $3 Million

Casper Sleep Inc. has agreed to pay $3 million to resolve a proposed shareholder class action alleging the online sleep product retailer made misleading statements about its financial prospects ahead of its 2020 initial public offering.

The agreement, which is subject to approval by the court, will also release claims against the underwriters of Casper’s IPO, Morgan Stanley & Co. LLC, Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC, Jefferies LLC, BofA Securities Inc., UBS Securities LLC, Citigroup Global Markets Inc., Piper Sandler & Co., and Guggenheim Securities LLC.
