Carvana LLC unlawfully terminated a marketing operations associate director because she was pregnant, she says in a new lawsuit.
After learning of the pregnancy, Carvana reduced the worker’s job responsibilities in preparation to end her employment, according to the lawsuit filed Sept. 27 in the US District Court for the District of Arizona.
The complaint by Natalie Shpiegel alleges sex discrimination under Title VII of the 1964 Civil Rights Act. She was hired in 2021 and received positive performance reviews before reporting to Carvana she was pregnant in July of 2023, the complaint says. Carvana allegedly terminated her in August ...
