Carrabba’s Assistant Managers Need Overtime Wages, Suit Says (1)

Bloomin’ Brands Inc. and a subsidiary misclassified Carrabba’s Italian Grill assistant managers as exempt from overtime protections and failed to pay them appropriate wages, a new suit alleges in federal court in Florida.

Robert Raffo and Daniel Curran worked for the restaurant chain in Tennessee and Florida. They regularly worked as many as 60 hours per week, but Bloomin’ Brands and OS Restaurant Services LLC didn’t pay them overtime wages for hours worked beyond the standard 40, according to the complaint filed in the US District Court for the Middle District of Florida.
