Cara Castronuova Must Fight Social Media Bans in California

Cara Castronuova, who has worked as a journalist for Newsmax, will have to assert her claims against Facebook and the platform formerly known as Twitter in the Northern District of California, after a federal judge approved their bid to transfer her complaint.

Castronuova alleged that the social media platforms collectively moved to limit her social media presence after she organized rallies in support of people charged with storming the US Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, but their terms of service “appropriately communicated” that those claims must be brought in the forum selected in those agreements.
