Capital One 360 Savings Account Lawsuits Combined in Virginia

Six lawsuits alleging Capital One N.A. deceptively advertised the interest rates on its 360 savings accounts were consolidated and sent to a federal court in Virginia on Friday.

The US Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation said the lawsuits all involve common questions regarding how Capital One marketed the savings accounts and how it set the interest rates. The US District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia is the most appropriate venue because two of the actions, including one that has undergone briefing on a motion to dismiss, have been filed there, panel chair Karen K. Caldwell said.
