A legally blind New York resident and an online cannabis dispensary have agreed to settle the patron’s lawsuit involving claims that the company’s website isn’t accessible to visually impaired customers.
Susan Competello and Doobeiz LLC reached a settlement “in principle” in the case, said Judge Lorna G. Schofield of the US District Court for the Southern District of New York. Competello, who sought to certify a class of legally blind individuals who had attempted to access Doobiez’s website, claimed the company had violated the Americans with Disabilities Act and New York state and municipal laws by failing to meet accessibility ...
