California’s Unconstitutional Kids Gun Ad Law is Fully Blocked

California Attorney General Rob Bonta asked a district court to enter a final judgment Tuesday barring the state from enforcing an unconstitutional state law prohibiting the gun industry from advertising to children.

The companies who challenged California’s AB 2571 and Bonta asked Judge Christina A. Snyder of the US District Court for the Central District of California to enter a permanent injunction over the law, according to a stipulation. The US Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit previously directed the district court to preliminarily enjoin the entirety of the law’s enforcement in 2025.
