California University Researchers Sue Trump Over Grants Cuts (1)

University of California researchers sued President Donald Trump and federal agencies over their decisions to rescind federal grant money.

The researchers say they “seek a return” to how things were at the time grant processes were ordered, in accordance with Congress, and that afforded due process to them, the lawsuit filed Wednesday in the US District Court for the Northern District of California says. They seek to represent a class.

The terminations violate separation of powers, free speech rights, due process, the Impoundment Control Act, laws requiring agencies to fulfill congressionally defined missions, and the Administrative Procedure Act, the complaint ...
