The California State Bar on Friday applauded the signing of a bill increasing the attorney licensing fee by $88 in 2025.
The law brings the total annual active fee to $598 from the current $510.
But the increase still falls short of the state bar’s request for a $125 fee bump, which it argued would stabilize funding amid dire financial outlooks and catch up with inflation.
