California Mobile Notary Sues Rival, Meta in Trademark Dispute

A mobile notary service is alleging that a competing service is unlawfully using its registered trademark and that Meta Platforms Inc. is contributing to the violation of its trademark rights by not taking down the competitor’s social media pages.

Lesly Chavez, owner of Seals on Wheels Notary in the Los Angeles area, alleges that Telli Griffin is violating the Lanham Act by operating Seals on Wheels Mobile Notary Service, according to a complaint filed Tuesday in the US District Court for the Central District of California.
