California Judge Rebuked for Bullying Women, People of Color (2)

A California state judge in Orange County, at least ten times, bullied and made offensive comments to women, people of color, and inexperienced attorneys in his courtroom, according to a disciplinary order released Thursday.

Judge Julian W. Bailey on the California Superior Court, Orange County in 2014, 2022, and 2023, made rude, impatient, or humiliating comments to lawyers and defendants, showing bias based on race and gender, the public admonishment order from the state’s Commission on Judicial Performance said.
